Literature Text

Hold your breath,
Don't let it fly away.
As hope takes wing,
And finds the horizon of another day.
Under the sky,
Where dreams spread their wings.
Reach out to catch one,
But you'll only hear them sing.
They're not quite shootin' stars,
But not quite birds either.
They're more like dreams with feathers,
But don't run after them you wouldn't want to leave her.
Not again,
Would you really do that to her one more time?
Leave her there,
Still under this sunburnt sky.
And you've run off with her dreams,
As well as your own.
Don't bother coming back to her,
Because off she would've flown.
You left her for another,
Who didn't even feel.
And when you come to apologise,
It no longer seems real.
That's what you get,
For leaving her.
But at least you were still thinking of her,
At least you still were.
I WILL WRITE A LITTLE POEM-LET FOR THE FIRST PERSON WHO CAN FIGURE OUT THE SECRET MEANING OF THIS POEM. It's not really very secret, just a meaning which some people might not figure out...

Erm...

YOUR DREAMS HAVE WINGS SO YOU NEED TO GROW THEM TO REACH THEM.

Or something.
